In the fall of 2008 our pastor, Fr. Ed McNeill, invited the congregation to make donations towards the purchase of Bikes for the Diocese of Rumbek in Sudan instead of giving him Christmas Gifts.  The 178 pastors of the Diocese of Rumbek cover 3500 square miles. All their congregations meet under trees. The Bishop has a Cathedral Tree, and no buildings. Neither the bishop nor the pastors have salaries from the church. Many work as government workers. To get around, the bishop and 73 of the pastors go by bike. 105 walk. $150 buys a bike for a pastor.  22 bikes were purchased for the pastors.  This video shows the delivery of some of the bikes.
